Simple and Honest Review from previous buyers of Proton x70
I have been driving the Proton x70 for about six months now and I must say that I am very impressed with this SUV. It is spacious, comfortable, powerful and packed with features that make driving a pleasure.
The Proton x70 has a sleek and modern design that stands out on the road. The LED headlights and taillights are bright and stylish, while the 18-inch alloy wheels add to the sporty look. The interior is equally impressive, with leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster. The cabin is roomy enough for five adults and has plenty of storage spaces and cup holders.
The Proton x70 comes with two engine options: a 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 181 hp and 300 Nm of torque, or a new 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine that produces 177 hp and 255 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that delivers smooth and responsive performance. The fuel consumption is reasonable for an SUV of this size, averaging around 8 litres per 100 km.
The Proton x70 also offers four variants: Standard, Executive, Premium X and Premium AWD. The Standard variant comes with basic features such as six airbags, ABS with EBD and BA, stability control, hill start assist, rear parking sensors and camera, keyless entry and start, automatic air-conditioning and an eight-speaker sound system. The Executive variant adds on features such as front parking sensors, leatherette seats, power-adjustable driver’s seat, auto-dimming rearview mirror and a nine-speaker sound system. The Premium X variant further adds on features such as Nappa leather seats, power-adjustable front passenger seat with ventilation function, power tailgate with foot sensor, rain-sensing wipers and a tyre pressure monitoring system. The Premium AWD variant is the only one that comes with an all-wheel drive system for better traction on slippery roads.
One of the best features of the Proton x70 is the advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) that comes standard on all variants except the Standard one. The ADAS includes features such as adaptive cruise control (ACC), autonomous emergency braking (AEB), forward collision warning (FCW), lane keep assist (LKA), blind spot monitoring (BSM), lane change assist (LCA), rear cross traffic alert (RCTA)and intelligent high beam control (IHBC). These features help to enhance safety and convenience for the driver.
As a family car owner, I find the Proton x70 to be an ideal choice for my needs. It has enough space for my family members and their luggage when we go on road trips or outings. It has enough power to handle different road conditions and terrains. It has enough features to keep us entertained and comfortable during long drives. And it has enough safety systems to protect us from potential hazards on the road.
The Proton x70 is priced between RM98k-RM128k depending on which variant you choose, which I think is very reasonable for what it offers. It also comes with a five-year warranty or 150k km mileage warranty whichever comes first, which gives me peace of mind.
Overall, I am very satisfied with my Proton x70 purchase and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reliable SUV that can cater to their family needs.
